Hi!  I have been a bit remiss this past month about getting on to my web page.  Although I have been having lots of fun creating in new recipes in my kitchen as I get prepared for my upcoming fall cooking classes.  I am excited about introducing a Vegan/Vegetarian cooking class to my repertoire .  When I was younger my oldest brother was a Vegan however, all I remember about his diet was he ate a lot of sprouts and nuts.  I am sure there was more to his diet however, back in the 1980’s there wasn’t the variety of food we have available today.  If you understand flavor profiles and spices there are endless options to cook that are filling and satisfying.

Life is such a gift because everyday that you wake up you have boundless opportunities to learn something new.  The other day as I was reading an article on the internet it said that if you grind flax seeds and soak them in water for 10 minutes it can become a substitute for an egg.  Well that peaked my curiosity since I am giving a private vegan group class and a few of the individuals love cauliflower, flax seeds and quinoa.  So I made cauliflower rice, quinoa and mixed it up with some of the flax seed mixture.  Viola you have meatless meatballs.  Saute them in some rich and creamy coconut milk, with some bold spices and you have a delicious, nutritious and heart healthy meal.  Add a crisp green salad and your all set.

Here is a picture of cauliflower dish I was just talking about.  My husband who is a committed carnivore fell in love with this dish.
